Rack with fold down shelf

• Fold down shelf can be used for bikes, ski carriers and other accessories that can be bolted or strapped to the bars
• Can be fitted with 2 bike carriers (bike carriers not included).  Most bike carriers that fit on ordinary bar type roof racks can be used.
• You can also carry other types of cargo like gas cans, storage boxes, coolers, spare tire etc.
• Gloss black powder coat finish, stainless steel fasteners.
• The four mounting feet are rubber padded to protect your paint.  No drilling or holes necessary. Rack is made in Canada.
• Special brackets clamp the rack to the edges of the door, this is much stronger and more secure than "universal" type racks
  that use straps.  This rack attaches to the very bottom edge of the rear door,  the door is much stronger there.
• Rack does not interfere with the rear wiper.  Rack attaches to the door only, so you can open and close the door with the rack attached. 

To carry bikes on the shelf, the bike carriers need to be adjustable in how they mount. 
You want to be able to center the bikes on the rear of the van, so the bikes do not stick out past the side of the van. 
Fork mount bike carriers usually do not work.
